Trainer Biographies
Ange Bean’s enthusiasm and strong communication skills make her a dynamic educator. Her education includes four apprentice years under three well-known trainers (Gina Krueger - USDF instructor, Lorinda Lende - FEI competitor, and Claudia Garner - Bereiter) and on-going long-term study with four prominent instructors (Scott Hassler, Sherry Ackerman, Gerhard Politz and Maryal Barnette), as well as an academic background in journalism and biology. This diversity gives her a strong depth of knowledge to find the “right way to make it click” with students. She holds advanced ARIA certifications in both Dressage and Stable Management, USDF Bronze Metalist and is a USDF L Graduate. Her education carries over to the competition ring, with both students and horses of various breeds excelling in multiple disciplines. Her students have been blue-ribbon winners at Dressage at Devon and nationally ranked in dressage, eventing and endurance. In the saddle, Ange’s specialty is young sport horses. Her horses compete consistently in the dressage ring, with local, regional, national, Arabian, Morgan, All-Breeds, Horse of the Year, and BLM ribbons in her collection.
Cara Klothe is a USDF Bronze and Silver medalist and has ridden and competed several horses FEI. She studied with Erika Fleury for over 10 years, going from working student to assistant trainer. During that time Cara had the privilege of brining horses of all ages and all breeds through the levels from backing to competing at CDI’s such as Dressage at Devon, Gladstone, Saugerties and many more, multiple championships and awards from local to national levels on several different horses. Along with Erika, Cara has worked with Conrad Schumacher, Gabriel Armando, George Williams, Scott Hassler, Lendon Grey and many other instructors and clinicians. Cara’s students range from beginner to 3rd level, both adults and juniors. Cara believes that a solid seat and good position are key to progressing through the levels. She is also a firm believer that dressage will help any horse become a better athlete no matter the owners competitive goals. Currently competing her Dutch mare Ocarina who is turning out to be a promising Small tour horse, as well as Charisma, a lower level Hanoverian mare who has spent much of her life being a mom. Along with her multiple horses, Cara attends Ursinus College where she is on her way to finishing a degree in business as well as a minor in history.
